The type of transformer include Audio Transformers, Current Transformers, Power Transformers, Pulse Transformers, RF Transformers, Switching Transformers, Telecom Transformers and other.

Below introduced the power transformer:

Power transformer is a passive electromagnetic device that transfers energy from one circuit to another through inductive coupling. Power transformers, unlike other transformer types, must comply with power interface regulations and operate at supply voltages and fairly high current conditions. The most important description of the power transformer is the primary transformer and the insulated secondary transformer, the commonly used KV. These basic safety factors protect the human body from fatal injuries caused by ground faults.

Power transformer typically has a primary winding (primary side) and one or more secondary windings. The secondary winding can be wound at different locations to produce multiple output voltages. The power transformer is transformed according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The secondary voltage of the transformer is equal to the negative of the rate of change of the magnetic flux through the closed loop. The alternating current in the primary winding causes a change in the magnetic flux through the secondary circuit. This alternating current produces a varying magnetic flux that is coupled to the secondary winding by a common magnetic core. The voltage ratio is equal to the winding turns ratio. If the transformer is used according to the design instructions, it is very efficient.

Ferrite core transformer is an important transformer. Common power transformers include: laminated core, semi-circular coil and toroidal coil. The laminated core is very important because it prevents eddy currents in the core and causes loss of efficiency. When the core is saturated or exceeds the rated current of the winding, the current output reaches a maximum value. There are a variety of mounting options: base mounting, rail mounting, wall mounting and PCB mounting. The terminal can be a soldered terminal, a wire and a terminal. The rated current isolation is 1.5kV to 5kV.

Power transformers are included in all devices that require a total power supply. It can also be used as a 1:1 isolation transformer protection device. 120-240 transformers are commonly used for conversion between power supply standards.
