How to judge the quality of an inductor?

First of all, from the electrical characteristics, the most concerned is DRC (resistance) and L (inductance). If you have a Wayne kerr or LCR meter. These two values can be detected directly. Generally speaking, R will give the maximum value, that is, it will be OK if it does not exceed this value, and L will give the minimum value, or interval, depending on the purpose.
Secondly, from the mechanical point of view, is the length, width and height of your inductor suitable? If it is equipped with a PCB, is the pin position of the PCB suitable? Sometimes if the two wires crossover during winding, the result may be problematic. This can be obtained by polarity test.
Finally, check the materials. For example, most American engineers require the MW-80 line, but domestic factories like to use the MW-79. The difference between the two is that the MW-80 is more waterproof, but more expensive. Of course, the material will also have an impact on the HIPOT test, so the material is still very important.
