Inductive magnetic shielding refers to isolating the useless magnetic force, isolating the magnetic force entering the inductor from the outside, and also preventing the magnetic force inside the inductor from affecting the outside. The difference between with a shield and without a shield can refer to the following points:
1: With a shield is a closed magnetic circuit, without a shield is an open magnetic circuit. The difference between the two is that the magnetic circuit, that is, the magnetic field lines, is always closed.
2: The inductance with a shield is to protect the wires, loops and coils from the influence of external magnetic fields, and to weaken the interference effect of the electromagnetic field generated by the circuit on other components. Generally, the method of magnetic shielding and electromagnetic shielding is used.
3: Another point is that the shielded inductor cannot see the exposed coil from the surface (the outside of the shielded inductor is wrapped by iron oxide), and the exposed coil is unshielded, but the non-exposed coil is not necessarily the shielded inductor.
