Common-mode filter

Common-mode filters usually use ferrite cores with two parallel wires. Low-differential-mode noise signal suppresses interference source and is difficult to deform in high-speed signal. Noise suppression strategy is good, high common mode noise suppression and low difference mode noise signal suppression.

Application:

Suppressing EMI noise of electronic equipment. DVC, STB's IEEE 1394 line. LCD panel, low voltage differential signal. USB lines for personal computers and peripherals.

Characteristic:

Ferrite cores are used and double wires are wound side by side. Low-differential-mode noise signal suppresses interference source and is difficult to deform in high-speed signal. Noise suppression strategy is good, high common mode noise suppression and low difference mode noise signal suppression.
Common-mode filter design is relatively simple, including common-mode capacitors, unbalanced transformers or common-mode inductors. Common-mode capacitors bypass the common-mode current of two input lines to the earth, and the common-mode inductance presents a balanced impedance, that is to say, the impedance of the power line is equal to that of the ground line, and this impedance presents an impedance characteristic to the common-mode noise.
