Inductance is a physical quantity that measures the ability of a coil to generate electromagnetic induction. Shielded common mode inductance is different from general unshielded common mode inductance. A metal shield with a complete shielding inductance surrounds the positively charged conductor. The inside of the shield will induce the same amount of negative charge as the charged conductor, and the outside of the shield will have the same amount of positive charge as the charged conductor. If the metal shield is grounded, Then the positive charge on the outside will flow into the ground, and there will be no electric field on the outside, that is, the electric field of the positively charged conductor is shielded in the metal shield.
The shielding inductor has a magnetic shield outside, which has a good shielding anti-EMI effect, reduces the electromagnetic interference of the inductor to the outside world, and weakens the interference effect of the electromagnetic field generated by the circuit on other components. The unshielded inductor has no magnetic shielding cover, small size, surface adhesion type, and easy surface mounting. The appearance and size comply with EIA standards, and there are different sizes to choose from.
Excellent soldering resistance and heat resistance, suitable for general soldering and reflow soldering, better frequency characteristics, unshielded ferrite core structure, lower cost. Shielded inductors and unshielded inductors are actually for open magnetic circuit and the other for closed magnetic circuit. The closed magnetic circuit means that the entire closed magnetic circuit is composed of magnetic materials. The open magnetic circuit means that there is obvious air in the magnetic circuit gap.
