An inductor is a type of circuit device that generates an electromotive force due to changes in the passing current, thereby resisting changes in the current. This property is called inductance. Inductive devices come in many forms and are referred to differently based on their appearance and function. The coil is made by winding enameled wire in multiple coils, which is often used as an electromagnet and in transformers. Inductors used in transformers are also called coils based on their appearance. Used to provide large reactance to high frequencies, through direct current or low frequency, commonly referred to as choke or anti current coil according to function.
